See-through range finder

 

A golf rangefinder has emerged as a fashion item, not just a tool due to the rise of golf as a mainstreaming activity of young generation. But still, it maintains heavy and stiff design with plain colors. ​

In response, Depth developed a new visual language for a golf rangefinder by combining the sheer-dress concept in a fashion with literal meaning of a word 'see-through'.

With this concept, we used silicon for the case intentionally ; this creates aesthetically intrigue of the concept of 'see-through'  by  sheer-revealing  letters and internal part  through silicon layer. 
Finally, we reinterpret it as a fashion item not just a tool.​

Young 골퍼들이 증가함에 따라, 골프 거리 측정기는 이제 단순한 도구가 아닌 패션 아이템으로 큰 관심을 끌고 있습니다. 
그럼에도 불구하고, 기존의 거리 측정기는 여전히 무채색 컬러의 무겁고 딱딱한 이미지를 유지하고 있습니다.​

Depth는 이러한 니즈를 반영하여 '~을 통해 보다'를 의미하는 'See through'와 패션 요소인 '시스루'를 조합하여 디자인 방향성을 제안하였습니다. 
실리콘 소재로 레터링을 부드럽게 레이어링하여 은은하게 내부를 드러내어 '시스루'한 감각을 효과적으로 표현하였고, 이를 통해 골프 거리 측정기는 더 이상 기능적인 도구로만 인식되는 것이 아닌, 패션 아이템으로 재해석하였습니다.
